Delays likely as essential maintenance begins
12:30pm Saturday 29th September 2012 in News
Road users are being warned of delays as work begins this weekend on one of the main routes in and out of Pembrokeshire.
Pembrokeshire County Council said ‘essential maintenance work’ on the Sageston and Carew roundabouts on the A477 will begin tomorrow (Sunday).
The roads will be resurfaced and ironwork replaced.
While the work is being carried out a traffic management system will operate to protect the workforce and manage traffic flow.
The council said every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
The ironwork replacement works will be carried out during the day using a lane closure system with manually controlled traffic signals between 9.30am and 3:30pm.
The resurfacing works will be undertaken at night necessitating road closures from 7.30pm to 6am. Signed diversion routes will be in place.
The work is being carried out for the South Wales Trunk Road Agency acting for the Welsh Government and is due to be completed by Friday, October 12th, 2012, subject to weather conditions.
