£29,000 benefits cheat bailed to crown court

A 56-year-old woman from Haverfordwest who pleaded guilty to failing to declare her savings while claiming benefits, will appear at Swansea Crown Court.
Judith Griffiths, 56, of Augustine Way, Haverfordwest, pleaded guilty to four charges of failing to declare her savings to the Department of Work and Pensions to get benefits during different periods between June 2007 and December 2011.
Haverfordwest magistrates court was told the total loss over the offending period was around £29,000, but some progress had been made in paying the money back and the outstanding balance was now almost £10,000.
The case was committed to crown court.
Griffiths was granted unconditional bail and ordered to attend Swansea Crown Court on November 2nd.
