Warning of extra range noise at Pendine today
9:59am Monday 8th October 2012 in News
A warning of extra noise from the MOD range at Pendine is being given for today (Monday).
The range, which delivers test, evaluation and training support services to the UK MOD and its allies, is planning crucial trial activity on October 8th.
It will consist of a limited number of firings, and because of the importance of the work, the trial has received Ministry of Defence approval to potentially exceed the 135 decibel limit at the range boundary, under which the site normally operates.
Local MPs, AMs, councils, police and the fire service have been notified.
QinetiQ, which manages the range, is apologising in advance for any disturbance.
Members of the public who may have concerns can call 0800 921345.
