A LEADING west Wales law firm has strengthened its corporate expertise following the appointment of a renowned Pembrokeshire solicitor.

Betsan Powell, of Efailwen, joins JCP Solicitors in the role of partner, and company and commercial expert, following a period of significant growth and successive new contract wins at the firm.

Operating out of JCP Solicitors offices in Haverfordwest, Fishguard, St Davids and Swansea, former Redkite and Aquity Legal partner Betsan will focus on advising JCP’s commercial clients, drawing on her extensive expertise and exposure to a number of high profile corporate transactions.

Haverfordwest-born Betsan is one of the founders of Pembrokeshire based ladies network Honey and is also on the board of Tenby Development Trust.

In her previous roles, Betsan has advised on a number of large transactions, including the sale of Halo Foods Ltd and Protectagroup Holdings Limited, as well as a number of multi million pound investments and key commercial contracts.

Betsan has also provided pro bono assistance to a number of Pembrokeshire voluntary organisations and charities via the Business In The Community initiative, ProHelp.

Betsan’s appointment is one of 28 new roles created at JCP solicitors in the last quarter, marking one of firm’s most significant periods of growth since it was established in 1990.
