MORE than 60 Pembrokeshire businesses have been featured in the latest edition of the Lonely Planet’s guide to Wales which was released last month (January).

The fifth edition of the destination guide not only highlights the stunning beaches, valuable heritage sites and breathtaking views which Pembrokeshire has to offer, it also recommends a number of accommodation providers, eateries and attractions across the county.

Pembrokeshire Tourism chief executive Maudie Hughes is delighted with the coverage the county’s businesses have received in the travel book.

“The Lonely Planet guides are well respected and full of great information,” she said. “The latest edition for Wales features recommendations for a number of Pembrokeshire Tourism members, which is excellent news, and a welcome boost to them, and indeed the area as a whole.”

Among the establishments named as the best places to eat in Pembrokeshire were Llys Meddyg, Cwtch, the Stackpole Inn, The Shed and The Refectory at St Davids Cathedral.

Crug Glas, The Grove, King Street Rooms, Tregenna Bed and Breakfast, and Hill Fort Tipis were recognised as the best places to stay.

St Davids Cathedral, Pembroke Castle, Oriel Y Parc and Castell Henllys were some of the key sights featured in the latest edition.
