MORE than 500 visitors attended the annual Supplier to Buyer event at Brithdir Hall, Withybush Showground on Monday, March 17.

Now in its fifth year, the event is organised by Pembrokeshire Tourism and the Pembrokeshire County Council food development team.

It gives regional suppliers the opportunity to showcase their products and services to businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Seventy businesses from across west Wales had stands displaying products ranging from chocolate to cheeses.

Building on the success of last year’s Business Hub launch, advisers were on hand with legal, marketing and administrative support.

Pembrokeshire Tourism businesses attended a menu clinic, hosted by food consultant Nerys Howells, of Howell Food Consultancy.

Pembrokeshire Tourism chief executive Maudie Hughes said she was delighted with the feedback from the event.

“This year’s Supplier to Buyer event proved to be another great success for exhibitors and visitors,” she added. “It was a joy to see all the different businesses networking with each other gaining contacts and developing their businesses further.”
