SOLVA-based Quality Cottages has opened a new satellite office at the former HSBC bank, Cross Square, St Davids.

With more than 50-years experience renting cottages across Wales from its office in the families converted farm at Cerbid, Solva, the Rees family have decided to move some of its team into St Davids to increase its presence in one of the two most visited places in the country.

When the former bank came on the market, the company’s owners decided the time was right.

The old bank has undergone a renovation which has seen the building clad in scaffolding for months, but the team hope the people of St Davids will like what they have done.

“We didn’t want to open just another run of the mill office but something a little different” said Tim Rees, manager of Quality Cottages.

“We promote Wales as a holiday destination as much as we promote holiday cottages in Wales, so we sat down as a family and decided that the office had to reflect this and be a space that compliments the variety of great shops in St Davids.”

The new offices house a photo gallery of the company’s own images from across Wales.

“People can come in and have a look at images that we hope will tempt them to holiday in Wales again and again and again,” added Mr Rees.

“They can also sit and watch some of the professional, short films we have created over the last year to see all the rich and diverse things to do in Wales.”
