THE High Sheriff of Dyfed, David Pryse Lloyd recently launched the Go Make A Difference (Go M.A.D.) campaign at the Torch Theatre to help community organisations tackle projects this September.

The help needed could be anything practical from painting a youth group’s premises to clearing waste ground around a school.

Milford Haven Port Authority and South Hook LNG have already pledged people and resources and the team wants to hear from anyone who could help by volunteering or offering goods and services.

David said: “There are dozens and dozens of people giving time to do things like maintain village halls, run youth groups and generally make our towns and villages into real communities and great places to live.

“I aim to use the office of High Sheriff to persuade businesses to support such projects.”

Anyone involved with a project that could benefit from the Go M.A.D. event this September, should send an expression of interest form to: The High Sheriff, Panteg, Llanddewi Velfrey, Narberth, SA67 8UU or email d.pryselloyd@btinternet.com, by Friday, July 9 2010. Forms are also available at www.pavs.org.uk or by contacting Maureen on 01834 891534 or email maureen@go-mad.org.uk.
