Public can have say on Conygar's Haverfordwest Sainsbury's plans
9:00am Sunday 27th January 2013 in County News
The public can now have their say on plans which could see hundreds of new homes, a supermarket and the redevelopment of a prime waterside site in Pembrokeshire’s county town.
Conygar Investment Company’s plans include a Sainsbury’s supermarket, petrol station and land for a primary school, 835 houses on land near Slade Lane, and redevelopment of the Fred Rees Garage site between Ebenezer Row and the River Cleddau, near Swan Square.
Details of all four applications are now available from Pembrokeshire County Council and on the authority’s website. Members of the public can make their views known.
A full planning application has been submitted for the supermarket with outline plans for 729 homes at Slade Lane, 106 homes on land to the north west of Slade Lane and retail, offices and 26 residential units at Fred Rees Used Car Centre.
Conygar believes its plans to redevelop the riverside area of Ebenezer Row, could attract a prestigious retail operator and create ‘a viable retail corridor’ linking the north of the town to the town centre.

How much public money will be thrown at this project in sweeteners?
Come to think of it, how much money will be thrown at Councillors?
Retail corridor?
Sounds more like the County Council is putting the town centre of Haverfordwest on the Liverpool Care Plan.
