STAFF at a Haverfordwest vet practice are busy training for this years’ Vet Charity Challenge to raise money for the Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, SPANA and Animals Aisa.
The challenge, at Pershore College in Worcestershire, will see The Oak Vets’ two female teams spend a day walking, running, cycling and kayaking along with other mental and physical challenges.
The teams – the Otters and the Ospreys – consist of partner vet Caroline Gardner, vets Emma Aldis, Caroline Evans, Kath Sutton, Helen Price, veterinary nurse Becky Lewis and administrator Chris Venables. Former Oak vet Lesley Sinclair is also joining her old colleagues for the challenge.
Emma said: “We are all enjoying the run up to the Vet Charity Challenge, with some of us learning new skills such as kayaking, and all of us aiming to improve or fitness in preparation.”
They will be easy to spot on the course in their team shirts printed by Purple Dragon Designs, Haverfordwest.
The teams have already raised £800 and the whole challenge raised a massive £21,000 last year. To donate visit the practice or http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/OakOttersandOspreys
