The forecast from the Met. Office is: South-easterly winds veering to southerly in the afternoon. Gusts expected up to 60 to 65 mph. Peak of gusts would be during the late afternoon and early evening up to 65 mph for Pembrokeshire.

In light of weakened structures and trees, some minor impacts may well occur with these stronger gusts so a Yellow Wind Warning is to be issued. Minor disruption expected but no repeat of Wednesday.

Persistent band of rain this morning over Pembrokeshire turning to frequent heavy showers from midday, with potential to give localised flooding on the roads.

On Saturday a windy and showery day can be expected. Gusts of wind up to 50 mph in the westerly/north-westerly wind around the coast of West and North Wales may also give some minor impacts where trees/structures are already weakened.

On Sunday a mainly dry day is expected but further rain will spread across Wales during the evening/overnight.

Hakin School, Milford Haven, is partially closed for Years 2 to 6 (Key Stage 2) due to a dangerous structure while Sir Thomas Picton Secondary School in Haverfordwest remains closed, again due to a dangerous structure. The Pembrokeshire Learning Centres at Penally and Neyland are also closed.
