Filming is due to take place in Tenby and Saundersfoot next Friday for a series of new ‘shorts’ to be shown on the National Geographic Channel.

The documentary-style adverts, which are expected to be seen by up to 6.4m people, are being made as part of a sponsorship deal between the channel and Jeep.

Presenter Tim Shaw will be filmed on a five-day Great Jeep Road Trip across the UK, undertaking a series of exciting and exhilarating challenges.

His visit to Pembrokeshire will see him turning his hand to sea kayaking, while other activities during the week will include indoor sky-diving in Basingstoke, speed boating on the Thames, hot-air ballooning iver Bristol and cheese-making in Cheddar Gorge.

Said Tim: “The Great Jeep Road Trip is going to be an amazing adventure where I will be able to experience new thrills, and visit parts of the country I have never been to before.

“These ‘shorts’ will showcase the best of the region, and I’m really excited about arriving in Pembrokeshire.”

The ‘shorts’ will be aired later this year as introductions to the National Geographic Channel’s prime-time programmes. The year-long deal is the largest in the channel’s history.
