Helpers from Pembrokeshire’s Trussell Trust foodbank are hoping Western Telegraph readers will dig deep this week and donate non-perishable edibles to feed local people in crisis.

The helpers will be in Tesco Haverfordwest store from today (Thursday) until Saturday to collect food donations from the public.

Thirty five Trussell Trust foodbanks operate in Wales, and 79,049 people in this country have received a three day supply of food from the Trust over the past year. The Pembrokeshire foodbank opened in January 2014, providing support and signposting to help those in crisis, in addition to feeding them.

Pembrokeshire foodbank is located in the Liberty Cafe, Grace Court House, Market Square, Narberth, and is open on Wednesdays from 11am to 2pm.

Satellite foodbanks operate in: Hill Park Baptist Church, Haverfordwest (access from the underpass near Morrisons supermarket) on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm; St. Giles Church Hall, St. David’s Road, Letterston, on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm.
