THE Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is inviting you to share your views on what kind of National Park you want to see in the future.

Like most public sector organisations, the authority is facing significant reductions in its funding over the next few years. As a result, the Authority is reviewing its future priorities and consulting as widely as possible to inform this review process.

National Park Authority Chief Executive Tegryn Jones said: “The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is your Park and we’re asking for your views on the work we carry out in order to keep it special for everyone to enjoy both now and in years to come.

“This consultation is an important component of our approach to managing ongoing reductions in our funding as it encompasses every area of our work and will help inform our decisions on the future priorities of the National Park Authority.

“We want to engage with as many people as possible from a wide range of backgrounds to find out what people feel are the most important aspects of the National Park Authority’s work.

“We want to hear from local people, businesses and visitors to the area to create a clear picture of what the public’s priorities are. This is your chance to have your say and we’ve designed our short survey to only take a few minutes of people’s time.”

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park was designated in 1952 and boasts 240 square miles of breathtaking coast and countryside. It’s home to an incredible variety of wildlife, some of the world’s best beaches, Britain’s smallest city and several of Wales’ top tourist attractions, including the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail – one of the world’s top walking routes.

The role of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is to look after the Park’s landscape and wildlife, help everyone to access and enjoy it and to support the people and businesses that call it home. These are the Authority’s statutory purposes.

The Park makes a vital contribution to supporting the county’s tourism industry and visitors and local residents value the peace and tranquillity that the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers.

All you need to do in order to join in the consultation process is fill in a short online survey, which has been designed to be quick and easy to complete.
