A holiday maker was airlifted from Caldey Island yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, July 29) with suspected anaphylactic shock.
Both Tenby lifeboats were launched to the scene at around 3.30pm following reports a tourist had collapsed on the island.
The lifeboats were quickly on scene and the inshore lifeboat was able to ferry the paramedic and coastguard team ashore because of the low tide.
Once the casualty had been assessed by paramedics, it was decided that he needed to be evacuated by helicopter and RAF Rescue 169 was tasked.
The casualty was flown to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
His family, along with paramedics and coastguard members were then returned to Tenby by the All-weather Lifeboat.
