THE leader of the Labour group at County Hall has called a public meeting tonight (Tuesday) to discuss the repayment of pension payments made to council chief executive Bryn Parry-Jones.

The scheme under which he received the payments was declared ‘unlawful’ by the Wales Audit Office.

Urging people to attend the meeting, Cllr Miller said: “We need to work together to keep up the pressure and to get our money back. Bryn Parry-Jones cannot be rewarded for scandal after scandal by being allowed to sail off into the sunset with over £45,000 of our money.”

The meeting at the Picton Centre, Haverfordwest, starts at 6.30pm.

So the creature that is Adams is still in post after the loyal IPPG voted to keep him, or is it the case they are each trying to position themselves for promotion by doing whatever Jamie says. They still don't get it do they, BPJ has only been gardening for a few days and they are straight back to it, close the doors and keep it to ourselves , vote for me and I'll make you all very rich. come on Cllr Miller , Adams has to go next. Oh and I fully suspect his band of loyal subjects ( for loyal subjects read brainless idiots) to vote this down in an instant, you people just don't bet it do you, it wasn't just about BPJ, its the whole IPPG gig and the fact you think you are all above the electorate. Corrupt Council, secret voting, child abuse, back handers. it just goes on and on.....

With an IPG free from direction by the CEO, it will now have to come up with some policies.

It has to address the significant budget reductions said to be required for next year. It will have to direct officers to meet these reductions across the services provided for us.

The card putting up direct charges we pay has been played this year. The only one left may be increasing the Council Tax, "the lowest in Wales". As we have enjoyed this for so long, the room for manoeuvre must be non existent in terms of the reductions now required.

With both the Director of Finance and the CEO missing, both much praised by the IPG, the time has come for political leadership. I fear the worst.

This problem far outweighs the relatively small financial matter of the CEO and £45,000. ( that is not to deny the moral/legal problems faced by this corrupt administration). None of our "politicians" have suggested a way forward yet.

A blogger who tried taking photos of an "open" council meeting and who was arrested, who criticised the Chief Exec of Carmarthenshire, who got the backing of The Times, Eric Pickles, the senedd and Private Eye just to name a few disparate voices faces losing her home after losing a court case - makes you think doesn't it?

Still want to say that?

Any one else think Mr Miller is doing this just to ensure he becomes an MP next year?
If he cared he could have done a LOT more, including making proper complaints to the Police and the Electoral Commission among others - he seems very opportunistic just surfing to Westminster on Jacobwilliams and Old Grumpys coat tails
