Eight people on board a stricken speedboat off Freshwater East were taken to safety by the Tenby lifeboat on Saturday evening.
The station's all-weather craft, the Haydn Miller, was launched at 8pm after Milford Haven coastguard received a call for assistance from the 20ft speedboat.
The boat was located half a mile offshore between Freshwater East and Stackpole Quay.
Four adults and four children on board were transferred to the lifeboat while the speedboat was towed into Freshwater East.
They were handed into the care of the St Govan's coastguard rescue team, and the lifeboat arrived back in Tenby at 9.40pm.
