Pembrokeshire County Council has finally confirmed that former chief executive Bryn Parry-Jones used a £90,000 Porsche as his company car.
It was widely known that Mr Parry-Jones used the hybrid Porsche Panamera as the car he was entitled to lease through his role as chief executive, but it has taken the council around eight months to confirm the details in a Freedom of Information Request made by BBC Wales.
The former chief executive left his post on October 31 with a pay-off of £280,000.
He had previously been the highest paid council chief executive in Wales on around £195,000 plus benefits.
In the response to the BBC the council said it had been unable to reveal details while Mr Parry-Jones was still in his post but “as this vehicle is no longer in use, we are now in a position to disclose the details.”.
