A bus taking students to Pembrokeshire College had to be evacuated this morning (Wednesday) when smoke started pouring out of the exhaust.
The contract bus, number 222, had collected students from the village of St Florence and was travelling between Tenby and New Hedges, near Park House Nursing Home, when it broke down.
The driver evacuated the bus, called the emergency services and arranged for a service bus to collect the students.
The students were conveyed by the service bus to Saundersfoot where they waited for a replacement bus to take them to college.
The vehicle has been examined and the turbo charger was found to be defective.
