MIND Pembrokeshire’s annual Christmas Fayre provided the warmest of friendly festive welcomes to visitors from all over the county.

Held at Haverfordwest’s Picton Centre, the mental health charity’s Fayre was its way of saying ‘thank you’ to the people and organisations it has worked with in 2014.

“We’ve got lots of different charities here that have provided our callers with education, training and volunteering opportunities over the year,” said MIND Pembrokeshire director Tracey Price. “Our first Fayre last year was so good we decided we would make it an annual event. It’s our way of giving a bit back to all those who have supported us.”

As well as laying on mince pies, non-alcoholic mulled wine and hot drinks, MIND callers prepared over 100 free full Christmas dinners and delicious puddings for those who attended the Fayre.

A range of stalls selling Christmas gifts – including jewellery from Truly Unique 2 U and goodies handmade by MIND callers – were a hit with shoppers, and the opportunity to have a festive manicure and relaxing hand massage was also on offer.

A fun game of Bingo – to win great prizes donated to MIND – finished the event off a treat.

“I hope even more people come next year!” said a delighted Tracey.
