The first of a series of meetings to improve communication between Hywel Dda University Health Board and the public is due to begin today (Thursday).

The new chairman of the board pledged to improve communication between the body and the public when she took up her post late last year.

In light of this the health board has arranged community based meetings to “develop a more visible relationship” across the three counties it covers.

The first of this year’s meetings will be held today, January 22, 3pm to 5pm, at the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock.

Other meetings in Pembrokeshire are planned for January 27, 3pm to 5pm, at Letterston Hall, Letterston and February 12, 3pm to 5pm, at Whitland Town Hall.

The CHC has been asked to help facilitate these events by assisting with ‘meeting and greeting’ those attending.
