Tenby Youth Club is celebrating a recent makeover with an open evening today (Thursday).

The club, on Greenhill Avenue next to the library, is inviting everyone interested - including town councillors and representatives of local businesses - along from 7pm-9pm this evening, for the grand opening of its new diner and kitchen.

Club members will be baking cakes, providing refreshments, chatting with people about the club and hosting a bingo and quiz with prizes.

There will also be a donations bucket, with contributions being shared between the Gateway Club - a social club for members with special needs - which is housed in the Avenue Centre behind the youth club, and to help with youth club trips.

Community youth worker Donna Wright said: “As youth club is now free, our source of funds are very tight and we look upon our local community and businesses to help and support the young people of the local area.”

Tenby Youth Club is open to all young people aged from 11 to 25, and offers lots of fun activities and challenges.

It also offers any support, information and help which young people may need on their journey from being a child to an adult.
