THE family of a young man who spent his formative years in Pembrokeshire have paid tribute to him, following the shock news of his death.

Twenty-two-year-old Beau Bradley is thought to have suffered a severe epileptic fit at his home in Bristol on April 12.

Beau moved to Bristol two years ago with his mum Caroline, and younger sister Ayesha, but spent more than a decade in Pembrokeshire, where he attended Ysgol Dewi Sant.

His older brother Henrey, who still lives in Haverfordwest, said Beau had never let his illness stand in his way.

“While Beau’s life may have been difficult at times, he always tried to stay happy, positive and kind to those around him,” he said.

“He would help anyone in need and never judged anyone, treating all as equals.”

Since leaving Pembrokeshire, Beau spent his time working at festivals across the UK, making friends wherever he went.

“The thing that keeps coming up is how kind he was,” said mum Caroline.

“We’ve had at least 100 messages from people all saying the same thing, that when they were going through hard times he was there for them.”

An advocate of green energy, Beau also campaigned for improved rights for children and older people, and spent a lot of time with his dog Wolfie.

“He wanted the world to be a safer place,” said Caroline. “He was a bright light.”

Beau’s family are now trying to raise £4,000 to help pay for a fitting funeral service for him, after which he will be laid to rest in Thornbury memorial woodlands, in Bristol.

“Funeral costs are not something we thought we’d have to plan for someone his age,” said Henrey, who has set up an online fundraising page, which has received more than than £1,000 in donations already.

The family will also be holding a two-day ‘music festival’ in Bristol this weekend.

“It’s not just to raise the money we need, it’s also to get people together to sit around and talk about him,” said Caroline.

“Life will never be the same without him.

“Beau loved life so much and lived every hour as full as he could.

“Now we just want to give him the service that he would have wanted.”

Anyone who knew Beau is invited to the festival, and more information can be found out by visiting Beau’s Facebook page and adding him as a friend.

Any funds over the amount needed will be donated to an epilepsy charity.
