The family of popular Haverfordwest tattoo artist Debbie Best plan to mark the second anniversary of her death with a balloon release on Newgale on Friday.

The Bests' plan to release balloons in remembrance of Debbie at Newgale on May 29 at 6pm. All her friends are welcome to join them.

“Debs loved Newgale, and she’d often say she was “off down the coast” after she finished work,” said Kathy added: “She loved being made a fuss of, and being the centre of attention, so I think she would have liked this plan. I couldn’t let the anniversary go by without doing something for her. We miss her every day.”

The family are also making a donation to Shalom House Hospice.

The £200 collection will be added to with the winnings from a bet on the Grand National they placed in Debbie’s memory.

“It’s a family thing we do every year,” said Debbie’s mum, Kathy. “A few years ago, when Debs won, she donated her winnings to Shalom, so I know that’s where she would have wanted this money to go. Also, we want to support Shalom because of the excellent care Debs received when she was there. They treated her like she was their daughter.”
