YOUNGSTERS in St Davids had a ‘flipping good time’ taking part in the city’s annual Pancake Day race.

Organised by the St Davids Penknife Club, the family fun event began outside the Bishops after school on Shrove Tuesday.

Racers were tasked with running up to The Pebbles while keeping their pancake firmly in their pan.

Jay Thomas came first in the under-eights category, with Charlie Thomas second and Finn Price third. In the over-eights category, Danny Thomas raced to victory, with Keiran Price second and Lucas Price third.

Josh Hoole from the Penknife Club said: “It’s a lovely event for St Davids families to have some fun on Pancake Day and an opportunity for the Penknife Club to give something back to the community which have shown their support all year.

“Monies raised go towards buying ingredients for next year’s race.”

Josh added: “Well done to everyone who took part and to Marika Price for cooking up the all pancakes.”
