A truly Dahl-icious day was had in Fishguard and Goodwick on Saturday, as the twin towns went on a whoopsy-splunkers Fictional Food Festival.
Local businesses got in the spirit of all things Roald Dahl, with 19 of them serving up delumptious
treats, all based on books by Britain's favourite children's author.
Each £5 ticket raised funds for the Save our Playgrounds appeal to buy much-needed new play equipment for Fishguard's Lota Park.
The sell-out event allowed participants to sample phizz-whizzing fayre including Matilda's pancakes at Jane's café, Willy Wonka's whoopsy wiffling chocolate waterfall at Theatre Gwaun, Roald Dahl themed ice cream at Hooked and George's Marvellous medicine mocktails at Transition Café.
Ticket price also included entry to the gloriumptious original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatr Gwaun.
The event was predominantly organised by Tracey Johnson from Fishguard Library and Theatr Gwaun's Karel Mujica.
"It was fantastic, there was a real community spirit with all the businesses getting involved and local people all raising money for a local children's charity," said Tracey. "Everybody got on board and it was brilliant."
The event has already raised a jumpsquiffling £760 for the Save our Playgrounds campaign, with more money still to come in.
"I had an absolutely fantastic day today doing the Roald Dahl inspired fiction food festival around Fishguard and Goodwick," said Save our Playgrounds founder Dani O'Connor.
"I cannot thank you all enough for selling-out the tickets."
