Wolfscastle remains among Wales' blooming best; It was announced on Friday, September 16, that the village has retained its prestigious Wales in Bloom trophy.
At an awards ceremony in Prestatyn, Wolfscastle gained a silver gilt and won first place in the Small Village category.
Judge and chairman of Wales in Bloom, Jim Goodwin, praised the Wolfscastle in Bloom team for the amount of support it received from locals, organisations and businesses.
The village's good horticultural practice, strategic placing of planters, front gardens and supporting information were among the other areas he commended.
"Wolfcastle is a small village with an amazing group of people who roll up their sleeves to get the work done," said chairman of Wolfscastle in Bloom, Rev Geoffrey Eynon.
"We're very proud of the successes that we have had over the years, and are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers that are full of enthusiasm."
"The wonderful displays in the village are a credit to those who have planted, fed, watered and maintained the flowers throughout the growing season."
Cllr Tony Brinsden, Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council added:
"They have put not only the village, but Pembrokeshire itself on the map with people travelling here just to marvel at the stunning floral displays.
"This enviable record in the competition has only been achieved by a great deal of hard work not only by the residents themselves but also by the Wolfscastle in Bloom Committee."
