Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed they are investigating an alleged assault that took place during the Haverfordwest RFC v Hendy RFC match in Division Two West on Saturday, October 1st.
The incident is said to have taken place at around 4pm at Haverfordwest Rugby Club.
"During a game of rugby between Haverfordwest RFC and Hendy RFC, an alledged assault took place, whereby a rugby player sustained a significant facial injury," said a police statement.
During the game, which Hendy won 24-3, four players were sent off.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 31 Harries at Haverfordwest Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
