A fundraising campaign for Fishguard youngsters needs your help to raise as much match-funding as possible by tomorrow (Friday).

Fishguard and Goodwick Young Person’s Trust, known as POINT has been nominated for The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge campaign, the UK's largest online match-funding campaign.

The funding will be used in healthy living project which includes POINT’s 25p meal scheme a grow your own produce project.

POINT is a charitable youth service that provides a drop-in session for local young people from the ages of 11-25, open six days a week, 50 weeks of the year. The drop-in provides support and advice on a whole range of different topics.

There is also a young parents’ drop- in, a girls group, a film editing group and theatre group. POINT also offers recreational activities with a healthy living theme for example adventure activities, gardening, sport, arts and crafts, both after school and during the school holidays.

It runs POINT Means Jobs which helps young people with employability skills, job related training and access to volunteering and employment and runs the Hatch pop up coffee bar on Thursday and Friday mornings.

It is currently trying to raise £4,000 which would provide healthy meals three times a week to young people, provide a minimum of 15 adventure activities throughout the year and provide resources to run informative workshops.

The Christmas Challenge 2016 opened at 12pm on Tuesday, November 29 and will close at 12pm tomorrow; Friday, December 2.
