Police are investigating after jewellery – including custom made rings and a wedding band – and £5,000 cash were taken from a house in Pembroke.

A 93-year-old woman has reported the theft of jewellery of sentimental value some time since the end of October.

Stolen were a 22-carat gold ring with a diamond inset in the top, and a solitaire diamond surrounded by a cluster or smaller diamond on a gold band valued at £325.

These are one of a kind as they had been specially made.

A large diamond and amethyst ring valued at £325, a 22-carat gold band wedding ring and a red ruby and zircon ring with a 9-carat gold band was also taken.

Along with the jewellery, £5,000 cash has been stolen.

Officers are appealing for anyone who might have been offered the rings or seen them for sale to come forward.

Staff at jewellery and pawnbrokers are asked to pay particular attention to any items brought in to store.
