A seven-year-old boy stuck on top of a Pembrokeshire landmark had to be rescued by firefighters this afteroon.
The adventurous youngster decided to make the ascent of Goscar Rock, in the centre of Tenby's North Beach.
But after climbing 40 feet up, he found himself unable to get down, and emergency services sprang into action.
Police and coastguard services were first on the scene, and alerted Tenby firefighters when they realised the precarious position of the child.
One at the scene, firefighters Rhys Thomas and Andrew Aston used a ladder and lines to climb up the rock to the boy before leading him to safety.
A coastguard helicopter also landed on the beach to give medical assistance.
