TWO Dyfed-Powys police officers are to stand trial accused of claiming pay when they were not at work.
Gareth Clement, aged 54, and Timothy Pawlett, 52, today made their first appearance before a judge at Swansea crown court.
During a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Geraint Walters, Clement, of Newport Road, Crymych, denied committing fraud at Fishguard Port between November, 2015, and February, 2016 by claiming payment for time not worked.
Clement also denied causing a computer to retrieve information he was not authorised to access.
Pawlett, of Bethany Row, Haverfordwest, denied a charge of fraud by dishonestly making a false representation by claiming payment for time not worked, also between November 1, 2015 and February 16, 2016.
Judge Walters fixed September 18 for the start of a three day trial.
Both were granted bail meanwhile.
