It is believed a large police presence in Pembroke’s Main Street is due to the town’s mayor making celebrations.
Reports on social media have said that there is currently a heavy police presence, including a number of police dogs, in Main Street.
A source has told the Western Telegraph that this is a precautionary measure due to the mayor’s civic service, which was preceded by a parade of the Welsh Guards.
We have contacted Dyfed-Powys Police for confirmation of this and will update shortly.
