FOUR pupils at Narberth CP School have raised more than £1000 for charity with a sponsored shave - and got a step closer to finding Gareth Bale in the process!

Marley Tilley, Archie and Isaac Owen and Jack Jones underwent the charity headshave on Friday, June 9, to raise money for JDRF and Breast Cancer Care, causes which are close to the boys hearts.

The boys, all aged seven, all play for Narberth Juniors AFC, a side started by Marley’s mum, Marie Tilley, that now features over 100 youngsters aged 6-11.

The event was Marley's idea, and his three best friends were keen to join him.

And they now all hope that Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will egt behind their campaign, and are currently running their own #findingbale campaign on Twitter in the hope we will respond and spread awareness of their charity work.

Anyone who wants to join the boys’ campaign can tweet #findingbale and follow Marie’s Twitter profile at @MarieTilley2, which features a series of video messages from Marley and his mates.

The four boys also said they wanted to thank everyone who sponsored them and gave up their time to help with the event.

Marie is currently undergoing her own charity attempts to find a cure for diabetes, and has raised more than £7000 in the process. More on her ongoing mission will appear in the Western Telegraph in the coming weeks.
