Dyfed-Powys Police is urging people to stay away from a derelict building at the Dockyard, Pembroke Dock.

PC 265 Jamie Hughes said: “We are receiving a worrying number of reports of people entering, and causing damage to, the old Commodore Hotel at the Dockyard, Pembroke Dock.

"The derelict building is currently undergoing building work to make it secure.

“Due to the condition of the building it is highly dangerous to enter.

It contains hazardous materials, such as asbestos, making the building too unsafe for contractors to enter without specialist equipment to protect them.

“I would like to make the dangers clear to the public and remind people that entering and causing damage to this building is a crime.”

Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) will be carrying out increased patrols in the area to discourage people from entering the building.

Anyone caught entering the building will be dealt with appropriately.

Anyone with information that can help officers identify trespassers, please contact Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing Team by calling 101.
