A LITTLE girl from Pembroke Dock is hoping to triumph in an international pageant being held tomorrow, August 24.

Five-year-old Mia Lilly from Llanreath, joined by her mum Chloe Priestley, is taking part in the international finals for Miss British empire 2017 in Buckinghamshire.

This British Empire organisation, an international pageant, prides itself in finding and nurturing the talent of aspiring models, singers, dancers, actors and presenters.

It was founded in 2011 by former Miss Great Britain and Hollywood actress 'Liz Fuller'.

Although Mia has done a few photo shoots before she has never been in a pageant.

Mia is representing mini Miss Wales in 10 finals and is excited to influence others of her age to follow their dreams.

Proud mum Chloe said: “Mia wanted to show other children her age that dreams can come true and that's it's not all about makeup and dressing up she wants to show children that it's natural beauty that matters.

“She may be going tomorrow but she will be going with natural beauty. We are really nervous and anxious for her but I am sure she will make us all proud.

“She has worked really hard to get here and I am just wanting to show other parents that it is possible and you don't have to spend a fortune. Mia also wants to show other children her age that dreams can come true.”
