A RECENT road safety day of action by police and partner agencies on the A4076 between Haverfordwest and Johnston saw one arrest of a wanted person, six warnings to drivers, and multiple notices issued.

During Dyfed-Powys Police’s #totalfocus day of action on October 10, officers from the Roads Policing Unit worked with agencies with the aim of reassuring the people of Dyfed Powys that officers are out there making sure our roads are safe for all to use.

Also involved was HMRC, which focussed on red diesel, and intelligence regarding claimants and business people failing to declare; Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency, who focussed on vehicle roadworthiness; and The Equipment Register (TER), who focussed on stolen plant.

In total, the day of action saw the arrest of a wanted person, six driver warnings issued in relation to construction and use offences; one traffic offence report relating to a construction and use offence; five delayed prohibition notices issued and six immediate prohibition notices issued.

"This was a very successful operation carried out with our partner agencies,” said Sergeant Justin Williams.

"Operations of this kind are regularly carried out by Dyfed Powys Police and we will continue to carry them out to make sure that criminals are not allowed unchallenged use of our roads, making the roads safer for all.”
