HAVERHUB, the team renovating the county town’s Old Post Office will celebrate a £10k grant awarded to them by the Big Lottery Fund in silence.
The grant will be spent on new wiring in the former storage sheds behind the post office as well as repairs to the roof.
Gitti Coats, Project Manager said: “The award is a massive boost to our project and all the amazing HaverHelper volunteers involved. After months of planning and hard work it is so encouraging to be recognised as deserving of support in this way.”
The work will be carried out by local companies and individuals, and to celebrate HaverHub will be hosting Pembrokeshire’s first Silent Disco in The Shed @ The Old Post Office on Friday, November 24.
An under 18s silent disco with pop and chart music will start the party at 18:30 until 21:00pm and at 21:30 the over 18s silent disco of 80s, 90s, rock and funky house classics will be headlined by DJ Laura Love.
Laura has played clubs as far afield as Bali and Ibiza and is proud to be involved in this first for Pembrokeshire
Tickets for the event are £5 in advance or £8 on the door. Tickets available at www.haverhub.org.uk
All money raised will go towards the continuing development of Haverhub.
