A DANCE group from Pembrokeshire are waiting to hear if they have broken a world record after staging an attempt in aid of charity.

Amethyst Dance, based in Roch and Goodwick, took part in the record attempt for the largest tap dance in multiple venues to raise money for Children in Need on Sunday, November 19.

Fifty-one dancers took part, aged from four year olds through to adults, dancing to the song Faith from the film Sing.

The group believes to have raised more than £500 from the Tapathon, as well as another £60 from refreshments sold on the day.

The event was organised by the Performers Project, and groups across the UK joined in the Tapathon in an attempt to break the record of 7,000 tap dancers across multiple venues.

The group are expecting to wait a week or two to hear if they have broken the record.
