HOOK CP School has been busy celebrating Welsh culture and heritage over the last few weeks.
The school held a Welsh Week as their St David’s day celebrations were postponed due to the snowfall that swept across the UK in early March.
During Welsh Week, Haverfordwest Male Voice Choir joined Hook CP School Choir at a Cawl a Chan fundraising event at Hook Sports and Social Club and raised money for the local charity, Paul Sartori and Hook CP School.
The evening raised £1,000 altogether, with half of the money going to Paul Sartori, and the other half towards the school.
Hook CP School has also achieved their Bronze Award in the Siarter Iaith Cymraeg/Welsh Language Charter, with the leadership of Mrs Penny Evans and Criw Cymraeg.
All staff and pupils have worked together to promote the use of Welsh at every opportunity in the school setting and will continue to practise their language skills and look ahead to attaining the silver award.
