The trial of a Johnston man who has denied charges of rape, attempted rape and indulging in sexual activity with a child is due to begin today (Monday).
In April of this year Trevor Patrick McLoughlin, of Greenhall Park, Johnston denied raping a girl between January 1st, 2008 and September 15th, 2008, and to indulging in sexual activity with a child between the same dates.
The 31-year-old also pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted rape between September 15th, 2008 and December 31st, and a second charge of sexual activity with a child.
McLoughlin has been remanded in custody since he last appeared at Swansea crown court on Friday, April 24th.
His trial, presided over by Judge Huw Davies, is due to start at Swansea crown court this morning.
