Tenby lifeboat launched to reports of red flares

Tenby lifeboat was launched last night (Wednesday) after Milford Haven coastguard HQ received reports of red flares.
The lifeboat extensively searched the area between Trewent Point and St Govans Head, while Manorbier and St Govans Coastguard Rescue Teams carried out investigations ashore. Nothing untoward was found.
Enquiries revealed that the flares were being fired by Castlemartin Range. The call out was treated as a false alarm with good intent.
