Tenby lifeboat was launched again last night (Wednesday) following reports of a flare being fired between St Catherines Island and Giltar Point.
A young woman in Tenby contacted Dyfed-Powys Police 7.38pm yesterday to report the flare.
Tenby lifeboat searched the area but nothing was found. After further enquiries the flare was attributed to RAF Hercules aircraft, ASCOT 325, which was on exercise in the area at the time.
This is the second time in two days that the lifeboat has been launched to investigate red flares.
