If you have ever fancied yourself as a film star, then open auditions being held this weekend could be just the thing for you.

Six students studying film and video at the International Film School Wales, in Newport, are casting for a short film, entitled Paper Planes, tomorrow (Saturday).

Open auditions will be held at the Picton Centre between 10am and 1.30pm.

The three parts which are being cast tomorrow are those of:

The three to five day shoot will take place in the Narberth area between March 27th and April 3rd.

The crew is renting a house for the shoot and food and refreshments will be provided throughout each shooting day. Not all characters will be required for every day of the shoot.

The film explores the father / son relationship and will be suitable for a universal audience. All actors will be given a copy of the DVD at the end of our post-production.

"The entire crew is extremely passionate about this project and we all want to create a great piece of film," said Rhiannon Tate, director of photography.

"As well as being part of our university course, our intention is to distribute the film to a wider audience through entry into several national and international film festivals."
