Stuck for a last minute Mother’s Day gift? Cancer Research UK has the perfect way for women to show how much they care - by entering this year’s Race for Life with their mums.
Not just a great excuse to spend some quality mother and daughter time, the 5k walk, run or job will also raise money to help beat cancer.
The feel good factor gained by doing your bit for the charity will last much longer than chocolates or flowers and make a difference to lifesaving research.
This year Race for Life in Haverfordwest takes place on Sunday, May 9th at Scolton Manor.
Last year 1,870 women took part and raised an incredible £106,183.
South Wales event manager, Kelly Rumble, said: “Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show your mum how much you care. By securing places to take part in Race for Life, you will able to cherish time spent fundraising, training and taking part together.
“One-in-three people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some stage in their lives. But the good news is that more people are beating the disease than ever before. Cancer Research UK’s work is at the heart of that progress. By helping to raise money through Race for Life, our supporters are turning hope into reality.”
