Early hours call out to hotel oven fire

Fire crews from Fishguard and Crymych were called to a fire at Gellifawr Hotel, Pontfaen, in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

The fire, which was discovered at around 4am, was confined to an oven in the hotel’s kitchen.

Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the incident.

They remained at the scene for around an hour.
