Walker airlifted to Withybush Hospital from Carregwastad Point, Fishguard

A 59-year-old walker was airlifted to Withybush Hospital yesterday (Sunday) after she suffered a suspected broken ankle while walking on the coast path.

The woman was injured near Carregwastad Point, Fishguard, shortly before 2.30pm.

Fishguard coastguards, paramedics and RAF rescue helicopter 122 Valley were tasked to the incident.

The walker was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to hospital for further treatment.
