Flood warnings have been issued across Pembrokeshire due to the threat of tidal floods at high tide this evening (Wednesday).

A Pembrokeshire County Council spokesman said several villages and towns may be affected by the floods, and waves are "expected to be bigger than this morning’s."

New tidal flood warnings have been issued for Amroth and Solva.

Warnings issued last night for Dale, Lower Town Fishguard, Haverfordwest and the south coast of Pembrokeshire remain in place, while there is also a risk of waves overtopping defences at Little Haven.

The council spokesman added: "The County Council’s maintenance crews will be deployed to areas at risk of flooding. Crews are also on standby with sandbags."
