The steam plant at Pembroke's Chevron refinery in now operational and a company spokesman confirmed today that processing units at the plant will start in the next several days.
Production the refinery was shut down last week after an electrical fault stopped the steam plant from functioning.
The steam plant closure caused other units to be come de-pressurised, stopping production on site.
Although production was suspended but there were no concerns over supply.
The steam plant was shutdown at 8pm on Tuesday April 29th in a controlled manner and repairs and investigations were undertaken to ensure that production restarts safely.
Some of the refinery systems were restarted on Thursday, May 1st, followed by a phased start-up of the other units.
In a statement issued on Friday, May 2nd, a Chevron spokesman said: "Work has progressed well and steam needed to operate the refinery has now started to be produced.
"Over the weekend, we are expecting the steam plant to be fully operational and the processing units will be then be restarted over the coming days.
"By managing our existing stocks at our refinery and terminals and sourcing additional supplies, we are continuing to supply our contracted UK and Ireland customers with all grades of fuel."
An investigation into why the fault occurred will also be conducted.
