Residents in Narberth have praised the Neighbourhood Policing Team for reducing anti-social behaviour.

At their recent forum meeting, the team members updated residents on how they had tackled the priorities from the last meeting.

In relation to parking, the team had issued numerous warnings to members of the public, especially in the High Street and Northfield Road areas of Narberth town. Eight fixed penalty notices were issued for parking within a restricted area.

The meeting also updated on a number of stop checks aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour during hours identified as being nuisance times.

Two members of the public told the meeting that it was evident that the anti-social behaviour had lessened - and believed it was due to the patrolling carried out by the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Priorities identified for the next four weeks include inconsiderate parking in the station approach area at Kilgetty, and also in Narberth town centre.

The team will also be looking at speeding through the town.

PCSO Dave Henry said: "Hopefully we have proved that we do listen to the public and tackle the issues which concern them."

PC Jackie Howells added: "We are also issuing a warning to those who continue to flout the parking and speeding laws. We will be targeting you - if you want to avoid a fine keep within the restrictions of the law."
